Friday was a busy busy day for our house... After everyone got done with school we ran up to Bountiful to the dentist, and walked away with NO cavities for all 4 kids! We were suppose to head home and get ready for Mason's birthday party, but being the awesome Mom that I am! I decided to call Capt.
Takos that works in Station 12 at the airport and we went and visited him instead! The kids were in heaven and we all had a great time! Here's a few
pict's from
the trip- the kids loved
Takos and can't wait to go back!

The pictures are totally out of order... this was one of the last stops on the tour, but the kids thought it was so cool that the fire fighters had there own gym and
racquetball court.

Here is
Takos telling the kids some of the stories of why they don't use the fire polls in the stations anymore, and that they are really there for the memories. I loved his facial expressions!

Here is Mason and
Takos looking across the observatory they have on the 2
nd floor.
Takos is showing Mason the map on the window that identifies the runways, and was telling him how they have to study really hard when working at the airport because of the planes and the different procedures.

The crew looking with binoculars at the planes!

Aidan and Hunter.... Here's trouble, especially in a fire house!

Emery testing out some of the fire gear, Aidan laughed at Em the entire time!
Takos helping Emery get all suited up!

Checking out the really BIG fire truck!
Takos telling the kids about the huge spear that they poke the plane with to spray water inside the plane when there is a fire. They were very interested!

What could keep there attention so well you ask?!

That would be the fact that they were out on the ramp, sitting in the fire truck, shooting water to see how far it would go! They were amazed!

2 Future Fire Fighters!
SOOO Excited!

Here's the crew standing in front of one of the trucks! We want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Capt.
Takos! We had an awesome time and they loved their fire hats! They have had them on all weekend playing fire fighters!

Dave loves this place too! He plays racquetball there every Wednesday night. I think they made him an honorary fireman. Bummer he didn't get a hat! We'll have to talk to Tekos about that! LOL
Sweet!
