Golfing... Your joking, Right?!

Ben wanted to check out the world of golf a few weeks ago... Um yeah. I would leave it at that, but Dallin will not ever let us live it down! We headed to West Ridge, for an hour, caught up with Dallin and suggested that he come out and check on us. He didn't understand why until he got outside! People, when I say I have only played miniature golf, that's really all I have ever played. The game of golf does not looking interesting or excite me at all, I'm not like my brothers or Dad when it comes to Golf. Ben feels the exact same way as me about golf, so when he suggested we go hit a bucket of balls, I asked what kind of balls? When he said golf balls, I laughed and said okay you better wear protection if your standing by me!
Ben told me how to hold the club, I did my own thing. Ben told me how to stand, I did my own thing. Ben told me it was okay when I took chunks out of the grass, so I took more! Then Dallin came out side... I was standing wrong, holding the club wrong, hitting wrong, and then after 15 minutes of trying to work with me he shook his head and said I can't even figure out what you're doing anymore! So he went over and helped Ben! Ben did much better then I did, he listened to Dallin a bit better, and tried harder then I did. When it came down to it though I hit a few balls past the 150 mark and even nailed the tractor driving around picking up the balls, I really thought I deserved a pat on the back for that one! But Dallin just shook his head instead. So here's my proof of Ben and I golfing, because we will NEVER do it again, but we have to be able to show our kids so we don't go against our motto "try everything at least once."
This is how Dallin explained to us to hold and swing the golf club. Imagine it like your going to pass a football. Nice easy and straight arms. Yeah, imagine Dallin telling you this without laughing at him... Ben did a better job then I did.

He only chuckled a few times, I lost it when I we started passing the basket (football). That Metaphor made NO sense to me!

Moving on from the "football" to the club!

The brave souls who dared try golfing!

* Thanks Dallin for trying to teach us, good laughs and a fun memory!
