Dallin, Dallin, Dallin

I just have to share what happened tonight with a conversation I had with my little brother Dallin. My Mom asked me to check up on him while they were away taking Elizabeth to school. So I called him to see what was going on about 6:30 tonight and he said he was driving... here's how the rest of the conversation went.

Tera: Dallin why are you driving around?

Dallin: I don't know

Tera: Dallin where are you driving to?

Dallin: Temple Square, I thought I would walk around.

Tera: Are you alone?

Dallin: Yes

Tera: You're going to temple square by yourself?

Dallin: yes, I thought I would go walk around and maybe see if I can go watch the church movie.

Tera: Why?

Dallin: I don't know I thought with school starting this would be a good relaxing night.

Tera: And you're by yourself???

Dallin: Yes, I think though that maybe first I'll see if I can do baptisms, and if not then I'll go see the movie.

Tera: Okay

Dallin: I guess if I can't get into either then I'll move up my reservations and just walk around temple square.

Tera: What reservations?

Dallin: Oh, I thought I would have a nice dinner so I have reservations to the Roof at 9:00.

Tera: You have reservations to the Roof?

Dallin: Yes, but maybe I'll see if they can move them to 8:30...

Tera: You are going to the Roof by yourself???!

Dallin: Yes, I thought it would be a great treat for myself.

Tera: So let me get this straight... You're on your way to temple square in Mom and Dad's car, by yourself, you may walk around, or go watch the church movie, or maybe throw in a few baptisms, and then you're going to the Roof for dinner. Did I get that straight?

Dallin: Yes

Tera: What time will you be home?

Dallin: Pretty late, around 10- 10:30

Tera: (finally losing it with laughter) Dallin you are the weirdest person I know.

Dallin: I have to get up and run a 5K with the stake tomorrow.

Tera: Okay Dallin have fun!


My parents can rest assure that there are no wild parties at their house, no staying out "late", the gas may be gone in their vehicles, but it wasn't wasted. Don't we all wish that we could be more like Dallin! He amazes me! Love You Dalli!
