The Hall

I thought my husband would be coming home within the next few days so all last week, (with some help from Dallin) I pumped out the last minute things that I should've been working on the whole time Ben has been gone. We have been working on different projects in our house since we got married, my Dad had finished up some drywall before Ben left but we never got around to painting it and painting the rest of the hall until now. Let me just say as easy as the job looks it was stressful and irritating!

Throughout the entire house there are two tones of paint on every wall... you would think that people would keep samples or extra paint... They Did!! hahaha I just didn't find it until after we had gone to Home depot bought paint and tried to do our best matching it without knowing what color the wall was and lastly already painted the entire wall! I was a bit upset to say the least! The next problem that Dallin and I faced was the fact that half of the painting was done at 9, 10, 11 PM and it was dark. *Note: never match the paint to a ceiling and actual paint it with no natural light! Apparently the rest of the house has white ceilings... in the room light it looks tan with a hint of pink in it! Let's just say the ceiling had to be re-painted and you can still see there's a difference cause I wasn't doing 2 coats! Anyhow these are the before pictures....

I painted all my frames black to accent my hall hangings better.. they turned out pretty good!

BTW everything was hand crafted by myself expect the prayer picture that Scot gave me for Christmas! I know I'm sooo good! hahaha

So amazing I know! I give myself a pat on the back for this little project! Now if I could just get Ben home and get my bathroom finished and this house sold we would be sitting good! Life never was meant to be that simple though!
