July 2010

Well so far this month we have kept busy and are so excited for the new adventures ahead! Me and the kids have ventured to Hollywood Connection for some golf and games... I even made them all try to Roller skate! That was HORRIBLE! Not one child stayed standing for longer then 20 seconds and 10 minutes into it they were all crying and wanting to go! What has the world come to?!.... I remember roller skating/blading all the time when I was growing up! NO ice skating any time soon that's for sure! We went boating with the Sweet's to Pineview the weekend of the 4th and that's ALWAYS FUN!!! The kids were so mad when I made them go jump on the trampoline one afternoon while it was pouring rain... what a mean Mom! They thought it was the coolest thing ever though when it was time to come inside!

The weekend of the 9th and 10th we headed down to Fish Lake in Central Utah for the Sweet Family Reunion, and had a great time! We got rained on most of the time and it was freezing, but it was fun to visit with the family! The week after Fish Lake Dallin received his mission call to LA, California Korean Speaking! We are SO excited for him and know that he will be a fabulous missionary! It's crazy to see him grow up, he's become an incredible young man and I am very proud of him! The next exciting news we received that week came from Scot when he called and said he was going to propose to his girlfriend Melissa that night! Again we were stoked, we really like Melissa and I think she'll be a great addition to the Sweet Clan! I will admit though I have been very emotional with this engagement... Scot is the sibling that I am closest too and it's so hard to see him grow up and starting his own family, he doesn't need his big sis anymore :( We are way excited for both Dallin and Scot, they will do great in their journeys!

Last week Ben's Uncle and Aunt, Dennis and Linda came in from Minnesota for 2 days and we had a BBQ with them. It was fun to meet them and let all the kids meet them, hopefully we can make it out there soon to meet more family! My Mom is the Stake Primary President and they were in charge of making a float for the children's parade this year... so of course she put my Aunt Fern in charge of it! They did an awesome job and even won the award for "Pioneer Spirit" in the parade! Last Saturday we took Aidan and Mason downtown and they got to walk in the parade with Dallin, Grandma Cindy and a few cousins! It was a great experience for everyone involved! And Lastly in the slew of pictures we want to welcome another Frank to the family! Joey and Paige had a baby girl last Sunday and let me just say she's one of the cutest babies I have ever seen! They didn't know what they were going to name her and so everyone gave suggestions... Hunter really wanted Princess Laya! Emery ended up picking the name Jaicee... and she was the winner! Funny that Emery even suggested that name since the only Jaicee that Emery knows was her enemy in Kindergarten! The two of them NEVER got along! Congrats Joey and Paige we are so happy for your family! Well enough blabbing.... enjoy the pictures and the other posts I finally got around to putting up and have a Happy 24th of July!
