Going to bed at 1 a.m. didn't defer our kids from waking up at 730 this morning! They found all their gifts from the New Year's boy and then came a knocking getting us out of bed to watch them open their gifts! I love the New Years boy almost as much as Christmas! We made our new family goals and individual goals for 2012 and went through our 2011 goals and crossed off everything we accomplished!
We did pretty good last year!
It was funny to watch the kids open gifts and wait for things to register in their heads! You could tell they were dragging and we still had to sit through church!
The boys got shaving kits! ha ha They had asked Santa for them but Santa was not buying them at regular price so the New Year's boy stepped in! They are SO excited to use them!

On a side note Ryk hates Tummy Time! Poor kid!

Kids are kids for only so long they should come first before your own wants! That's how we do it in our house and we love the relationships we have with our kids. They know they are loved and cared for in our home and have incredible outlooks in life and what they want to accomplish! It makes us proud parents! We are looking forward to 2012 and the new experiences our family will have together!

Man, when u do a post, U do a post! Tons to catch up on and fun pics to see. I thought we were the only ones to do new years gifts( we dont do gifts on christmas). That was cool to hear about! I miss the temple lights! Thanks for posting. Oh, and Ryker hs such beautiful eyes!
