Well we're still truckin' along with 3 weeks to go till our solider comes home! I have tried to stay extra busy and keep the kids busy so that my excitement doesn't get too over whelming! Let's just say it's not working too well and some days I'm getting so on edge and snapping at people. If you're one of those poor souls I apologize! The good thing that has come from all this is what's been getting done and what we have been up to! The house has been gutted out and cleaned, I have made my DI runs and I'm all ready to paint next week and get the last few jobs done that I need to before Ben gets home! With the fabulous weather that we have been having I have gotten weeds pulled in the flower beds, garbage and leaves cleaned up and we even got the trampoline the kids got from the New Years Boy put together and up!
My Dad was such a good sport to come and do basically all of the labor for me! Hunter and I helped when we could.. we even had Elizabeth in town and at my house to help, she didn't she complained instead!
I decided that it would be fun and beneficial to put all the kids in dance, the boys screamed and fought me... so we settled for tumbling/ gymnastics instead! If you want comedy, it's a great place to be! The kids had their second lesson last week and they did much better then the first time. I had Elizabeth tag along with us since she has been in town and she laughed the entire time, we lost a monster truck and a transformer in the lesson but the kids were able to work on the hand-stands and stretch their muscles out.
Emery and Mason after their class
Aidan, Hunter and Elizabeth waiting patiently to do a somersault. Elizabeth had the urge to tumble after sitting there and watching, she was as good as my 4 year olds!
Mason getting ready for his hand-stand.... he fell flat shortly after and I cried while laughing!
Aidan laying there and Hunter just chillin' while they waited for their class to start.
Hunter and Aidan doing the elephant walk... not as easy as it looks! They're the only boys in their class and within the first 5 minutes the teacher announced to all the parents that boys this age are not nearly developed as girls their age and they have a hard time focusing and moving but it's still really good for their growth and for sports! Within 1 minute of her ending her speech the 2 monsters had each other in head locks playing WWF... no pictures could be taken because mom was breaking up the fight! Good times!!! 4 more weeks of tumbling and then soccer season starts!!! Woo HOO! Thank heavens Ben will be home for that!
2 week ago was Dallin's Jr. prom and I went with him to take pictures of him and his date. The theme was a masquerade ball... needless to say Dallin made the coolest mask and then left it in the car so he never got a picture with his mask! Hopefully the girl had a good time, Dallin's one of the cheapest boys I know hence the silver shirt he got from the DI for 6 bucks, good thing it's one of his last dances!
Last summer we went to the Weber County Fair and we bought some frogs... THEY'RE STILL ALIVE!!! No matter how long I go not feeding the dang things they're still live! I have tried to not clean their bowl out but then I start feeling bad and end up cleaning it out. This past week while Emery and Mason were at school I had the 2 little boys help me clean out the bowl. They chased the frogs with their fingers and tried catching them, I was really hoping the frogs would have a heart attack and kill over... they didn't!
Last but not least I went with Hunter on his Community Field Trip, it was a long and cold day! We started out at Walmart but since preschoolers can no longer ride on school buses then we had to walk everywhere. At Walmart we saw how they decorated cupcakes, developed film and got a tour of the store, from Walmart we walked to Wendy's and saw how they cooked the food and everyone got frosty's. Next we headed to great clips and then walked across the street and caught UTA to take back to the school. It was a interesting field trip with 15 3-4 year olds, but Hunter loved the bus ride, and I'm glad we don't ever have to have the field trip again!

Oh, that's where those frogs came from? :) I'd probably be wishing they would just die too--I hate cleaning out aquariums!
Good luck with getting everything ready for the big homecoming--we could use a little spring cleaning down here...I just need a good deadline like you!
