Our kids have never been to Antelope Island... I figure everyone needs to experience it once in their life! So that's where we headed on a Saturday afternoon; we were lucky to have Tennant's come along with us!
We started off driving across the lake and "smelling" everything around us!
First stop.... the visitors center where the kids got an anatomy lesson when they tried to "milk" the bison!
The kids chased rabbits around the hill, the bunnies were too fast for those 7 though!
We headed over to the ranch on the Island... we were greeted with an old guy in a golf cart and his garden snake. It was long and gross... the kids enjoyed looking at it and petting it though!
There was a cowboy that was roping some of the "wooden cattle" we thought he was part of the tour when he offered to show the kids how to rope. After taking time with each kid he finally walked away... hahaha he didn't work there... he was just being nice and helping out the kids! OUR BAD! The kids had a great time anyways though!
Aidan and Cannon waiting to be roped!
All of the crew ridin and saving each other!
We walked through the little museum; Mason and Holden read about some of the old people. It was actually pretty interesting to learn about the island. Did you know that back in the day Brigham Young kept all his animals on Antelope Island because he didn't have room in Salt Lake for them.
The kids tinkering around with some of the old fashion tools!
Daddy and Ryker checkin out the sheep shearing shoots!
Hunter and Aidan running out of a cellar... if this doesn't look like double trouble I don't know what else does!
Ride'm Cowboy!!
Say "Cheese!" We didn't get Ry in this picture though...
When we saw the Bison at the edge of the road... we HAD to let the kids out of the car to take pictures! Grady was a bit worried they would charge!
After the island we headed to dinner... this is what Ryker looks like when he doesn't have anymore food to eat! Cute baby!
